KARACHI, Oct 21: The National Museum of Pakistan Karachi has arranged a special exhibition of the rare manuscripts’ copies of the Holy Qur’an along with some specimen of illuminated pages of Qur’anic calligraphy and some art specimens of the Qur’anic verses.
The event was being organised, in collaboration with Khana-i-Farhang Iran here.
Consul General of Iran in Karachi would inaugurate the exhibition on Oct 22.
Ramazanul Mubarak had been chosen for this exhibition as it was the month of ‘Nuzul-i-Qur’an’.
Unique large copy of the Holy Qur’an in Bahar script, which is dated back to 15th century AD, would also be on display.
Besides, the exhibition would house copies of illuminated folios of the Holy Qur’an manuscripts in Iranian Library/Museum and calligraphic paintings by Faird Durrani, renowned artist of Karachi.—APP
