BNP leaders condemn Wadh attack

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Oct 19: The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has condemned an attack on the residence of veteran Baloch leader and Ponam chief Sardar Ataullah Mengal and held secret agencies, provincial government and Muslim Leaguers responsible.

An emergency meeting of the party held here on Wednesday adopted a resolution describing the Wadh incident as an effort to stop the Mengal tribe and Sardar Mengal’s family from providing political guidance to the Baloch people.

“It is a conspiracy of secret agencies against Mengal tribe and its tribal elder,” the resolution claimed and vowed to foil all such bids with the cooperation of party workers.

The resolution also warned that all such conspiracies would be resisted with full force at all levels and the government, PML and secret agencies would not be allowed to implement their designs against the Mengal family.

The meeting decided to hold a Press conference on Thursday to inform people about the realities.

The meeting of PONAM would also be convened soon in this regard.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party head by its Secretary General Akram Shah, visited central secretariat of BNP and condemned the Wadh incident.
