KARACHI, Oct 19: Baloch Students Organization Chairman Dr Imdad Baloch, who ended his 16-day fast-unto-death on Tuesday evening, said that struggle for the rights of Baloch people would continue.

He went on hunger-strike on Oct 2 in protest against the illegal detention of BSO activists and political prisoners in Balochistan and “state repression in the province.”

The BSO leader called off his strike at the request of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Baloch and Sindhi nationalist leaders, who assured him that the issue of detention of BSO leaders would be raised at national forum.

The BSO has been active in highlighting the plight of Baloch people by launching campaigns on issues such as military operation in Balochistan, longer standing issue of access to resources such as gas and other mineral resources.
