KARACHI, Oct 19: Three vessels carrying edible oil, sugar and wheat were berthed at MPT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, five more ships with chemicals, containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy maintained at 67 per cent as six ships, Sealand Independence, Pacific Sound, Anna-A, Lion Princess, Aonoble and Pine Galaxy, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, wheat, jute, sugar, coke, chemicals and seeds.

A cargo volume of 36,044 tons comprising 32,607 tons of import cargo and 4,437 tons of export tonnage was handled.
