Nasir guides LS to thrilling win

LAHORE, Oct 18: A hurricane unbeaten century by opener Nasir Jamshed guided Lahore Shalimar (LS) to an exciting 10-run win over Sialkot in the National Inter-region U-19 One-day cricket championship at the Saga Ground, Sialkot on Tuesday.

Nasir struck 124-ball 127 as Lahore Shalimar posted 238 for four wickets in the allotted 45 overs.

He hit 10 fours and two sixes.

Sialkot were all out for 228 in 45 overs despite fighting efforts of Faisal Javed (64) and Usman Musthaq (66).

For Lahore, Ahmed Butt took four wickets for 49 runs. But at Lahore Country Club, Muridke, Lahore Ravi (LR) tasted three-wicket defeat at the hands of Hyderabad.

Set to score 175, Hyderabad romped home scoring 177 for seven in 43.1 overs due to fine innings by opener Sharjeel Khan (56, seven fours).

Batting first, Lahore Ravi managed 174 in 44.5 overs.
