KARACHI, Oct 18: The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) will organize a level 1 coaching course for the coaches in collaboration with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) at Islamabad from Dec 2 to 9.
Designed by the world governing body of the game, the course would be conducted by a European trainer.
An official of the PTTF said on Tuesday that the ITTF would sponsor the visit of foreign expert to Pakistan.
He informed that 28 coaches would attend four-day course in the first phase followed by two-day further grooming of the short-listed candidates.
The break-up includes five coaches from each province, one each from four affiliated units namely Habib Bank, Allied Bank, Railways and Wapda and four nominees of the PTTF.
The PTTF nominees were Arif Khan, Farjad Saif, Arif Nakhuda and Irfanullah.
He disclosed that the PTTF has requested the Pakistan Sports Board to provide accommodation and other relevant facilities to the participants of level 1 course.
Meanwhile, a Chinese ping pong coach arrived in Islamabad on Monday to better the skills of players. He would stay in the country until the next year’s SAF Games.
