KARACHI, Oct 18: Six vessels carrying containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships, Northern Lights, to unload vehicles, Nefeli-1, Pu He, PONL Mahe, Hanjin Busan, to unload and load containers, Hun Jiang, to offload sugar, BBC Ontario, to unload and load general cargo, and Sea Blessing to offload coal were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Pu He, Blue Star, Northern Lights, Islamabad, Bright Sun, Lauren and Golden Oceania, while PONL Mahe, Hanjin Busan, BBC Ontario, Nefeli-1, Ping Jiang, Maersk Arizonam Iran Baabaei and Teo are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.102m tons comprising 20,596 tons of export cargo and 81,369 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: United Prosperity, Iran Shahryar, Hyundai Sprinter, Norasia Polarris, Kota Teguh and Koys Waris, with containers.
