ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: Famous pro-independent Kashmiri leader and chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Yasin Malik suddenly arrived here on Monday, saying he had come as a social worker to help relief efforts in the earthquake-stricken areas of Azad Kashmir and the NWFP.
He told Dawn in a telephone interview that he had brought aid worth Rs10 million from the Indian-held Kashmir to contribute to the relief work in AJK and NWFP.
Secretary-general of the Yasin Malik faction of JKLF, Rafiq Dar, said that Mr Malik had come to Pakistan by air from New Delhi and relief goods would arrive in a couple of days.
