KARACHI, Oct 17: An operations manager of a private security company was shot dead by unknown persons in Defence area early Monday morning. Police said that the bullet riddled body of Syed Ahmed Shah, 55, was recovered from the office of Empire Security Company at Khayaban-i-Ittehad where the victim used to sleep overnight.

The killing took place sometime on early Monday morning as unknown men barged into the office and pumped several bullets in the victim’s head. The body was shifted to JPMC for autopsy.

Police said that the victim hailed from Azad Kashmir suspecting that the killing might be the result of some personal enmity. Deceased was a retired army man, police said.

ACCIDENTS: Three persons died in accidents on Monday.

Police said that a pedestrian was hit by a speeding minibus at Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road. The victim was identified as Jamal, 30. He was rushed to the JPMC where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

In the limits of Jackson police station, a young man identified as Shaukat Ali, 23, was knocked down by a trailer. The victim died on the spot. Police shifted the body to the CHK for legal formalities.

An unidentified victim died in a hit and run accident at Hub River Road on Monday evening.

Police sent the body to the Civil Hospital from where it was sent to the Edhi morgue.
