HYDERABAD, Oct 17: Two teams of doctors and paramedics carrying medical and surgical equipment and life-saving drugs have been dispatched to earthquake-affected areas.

The teams were seen off by DCO Mohammed Hussain Syed at the Karachi airport on Monday.

Mr Syed said the teams comprised 27 doctors, paramedics and technicians.

They are Dr Aftab Khanzado (orthopaedic surgeon), Dr Hamid Memon (ophthalmologist), Dr Kamran Ahmed (dental surgeon), Dr Azam Shah (medical officer surgery), Dr Saleem Shaikh, Dr Hafeez Arain, Dr Syed Jameel Ahmed, Dr Akbar Ali Laskhani, Dr Abid Mohammad, Dr Hassan-ul-Haq, Dr Mohammad Ali, Naeemuddin, Mohammad Saleem, I.M. Saeed, Mehmood, Arshad Khanzada, Atta Mohammad, Saeed Anwar, Liaque, Mohammad Usman, Arshad Arain, Amjad Hussain, Raza Hussain, Saleem Shahzad, Akhter Hussain and Mohammad Mohsin.
