NAWABSHAH, Oct 16: Protesting against the parking fee imposed by contractors, truck drivers blocked the Nawabshah-Sanghar link road after a clash here on Sunday.

The drivers, Asghar Ali and Talib Hussain blocked the road at 60-mile checkpost by parking their trucks after the clash between tax collectors and drivers.

Traffic coming to and from Nawabshah was blocked about an hour.

The B-Section police reached on spot and took the drivers into custody and cleared the road. Later the drivers were released.

The truck drivers told reporters that tax was being collected in excess which was illegal and when they refused, the tax collectors abused them.
