KARACHI: CM prohibits official Iftar parties

KARACHI, Oct 16: Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Sunday prohibited holding of official Iftar parties in Sindh in wake of devastating earthquake in northern parts of the country and Azad Kashmir.

According to a handout, the chief minister said that amount to be expended on Iftar parties should be donated to President’s Relief Fund.

He said it was our religious and moral obligation to help our suffering brethren in earthquake-ravaged areas during this hour of need.

He directed all provincial ministers and officials to avoid attending Iftar parties. —PPI
