Aggressive knock by Hasan


KARACHI, Oct 15: AOCC thrashed Defence Gymkhana (DG) by 92 runs in Aga Khan Gymkhana Twenty20 Cup Ramzan cricket tournament at AKG Ground on Saturday,

Hasan Jawed smashed eight boundaries and brace of sixes in his aggressive knock of 66 to help AOCC post 161 for seven wickets in 20 overs.

DG in reply crashed to 69 all out in 10.5 overs. Leg spinner Mohib grabbed three wickets for five runs in just 11 deliveries.

In the second match of the day, Tapal CC (TCC) handed out seven wickets defeat to Asghar Ali Shah Memorial CC (ASMCC).

Sharjeel Ashraf hammered an unbeaten 37 with three fours and two sixes and shared an unbroken 45 runs for the third wicket.

Summarized scores:

AOCC beat DG by 92 runs.

AOCC 161-7 in 20 overs (Hasan Jawed 66, Shaheen Malik 16, Faraz Malik 16, Ibrahim Qureshi 14, Hameed 2-23, Wasim Feroz 2-25)

DG 69 in 10.5 overs (Imtiaz Siddique 15, Wasim Feroz 15, Mohib 3-5, Shaheen Malik 2-1, Shabbir Ahmed 2-20, Iftikhar 2-37).

TCC beat AASMCC b7 seven wickets.

AASMCC 110-6 in 20 overs (Fayyaz Ahmed 33, Hamid Ali 26, Malik Rasheed 14, Mansoor Khan 3-9, Haris Ayaz 2-11) TCC 113-3 in 17 overs (Sharjeel Ashraf 37 not out, Hasan Arshad 23, Farhan Iqbal 16 not out). —APP
