Banks to open till 3pm
KARACHI, Oct 15: The State Bank on Saturday issued instructions to all banks to extend the business hours during Ramazan up to 3pm (except Fridays) to receive donations to the President’s relief fund for earthquake victims-2005.
“This extension of business hours of banks is for the purpose of collection of donations for the earthquake victims only,” said a press release issued by the SBP.
The SBP also advised the presidents and chief executives of all the banks to publicize the extension in business hours and branches providing the facility of collection of donations in extended hours.—Staff Reporter
