Several relief camps have been set up by social, religious and political organizations in the urban and rural areas of the district. Among the volunteers are army officials, traders and students of various schools and colleges.

District Nazim Shahid Mehdi and Burewala Tehsil Nazim Usman Warraich have contributed Rs100,000 each to the President’s Relief Fund for the victims. Officials of various government departments and schoolteachers have donated their one- or two-day salaries, in addition to providing relief goods.
