KARACHI: PIA to help social sector

KARACHI, Oct 15: PIA Chairman Tariq Kirmani has created a Corporate Social Responsibility Team. Following the team’s formation, the PIA will be assisting in various areas of the social sector such as sports, health, charities, arts academy, the Al-Shifa Trust, environment, etc.

According to PIA sources, the PIA had decided to have a fresh look at its corporate social responsibility.

In this regard, a committee led by Senior Vice-President (Coordination) Anwaar Rasul Khan has been set up. Other members include Senior Vice-President (Works) Col Mudassar Asghar, Special Assistant/Chairman Col Mahmood Ahmed, GM Public Affairs Capt Hassan Jaffery, GM Planetaria Sajjad Ahmed, and Admin Manager (Finance) Mrs Ghazala Rashid.—APP
