KARACHI: Three die in accidents

KARACHI, Oct 15: Three persons, including a boy, died in separate road accidents in different localities here on Saturday. Three people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Superhighway. The police shifted them to Abbasi Hospital. Habib Mehmood, 25, a resident of Sector 15-A Buffer Zone, died on way to hospital.

Lal Mohammad, 30, a resident of Jahanabad Pak colony, was crossing road near Labour Square in SITE when he was hit by a minibus. The injured was taken to Abbasi, where he breathed his last.

An eight-year-old boy Heera died in a hit-and-run accident near Albaila bus stop, Lasbella Chowk.

ARRESTS: A police official was suspended and the SHO of Sachal will face an inquiry after they were allegedly found involved in patronizing a gambling den.

Police said all the SHOs in Gulshan town were directed to put a strict check on gambling dens. Gulshan town police officer Abdullah Shaikh had received information about a gambling den, and a police party raided the den at a house of Abdul Hameed. Thirteen gamblers were held and the stake money of Rs16,000 was seized.
