KARACHI: Four more survivors in city

KARACHI, Oct 15: Four more injured survivors of Oct 8 earthquakes were admitted to Civil Hospital Karachi and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre on Saturday. According to CHK Medical Superintendent Dr Kaleem Butt, Marium Bibi, 57, was brought to the hospital in the afternoon for treatment as her left leg bone had badly fractured and scattered. After emergency treatment, she has now been admitted to Orthopaedic Unit-I of the hospital for surgery some time later.

Another patient Shaban, 30, was brought to the hospital on Saturday morning, but was discharged after initial treatment as his relatives who reside in the city wished to take him home. Both the patients belonged to Balakot.

Dr Seemin Jamali, Deputy Director of JPMC, said that Shaukat, 25, was brought to the hospital on Saturday morning from Balakot. He has got injuries in head and fractures in various parts of body. He was admitted in neurosurgery department where his condition was stable now, she said.

Gul Safwaa, 45, was brought from Batagram with his leg fractured to the hospital.
