Evian Group meeting today

ISLAMABAD, Oct 13: Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan has left for The Hague, Netherlands, to attend the Evian Group 10th Plenary Meeting on Friday. An official announcement issued by the commerce ministry on Thursday said that the minister as a keynote speaker would deliver a speech on “Vision for 2015 — Creating a Global Market Community for the 21st Century.”

The meeting was aimed at engaging business leadership in assisting governments to meet the goals and commitment of the Doha Ministerial Declaration. The focus of this meeting was to contribute to creating a global social and intellectual environment conducive to the global market economy.

The Evian Group was planning to hold its next meeting at Lahore towards the end of this year.
