KHAIRPUR, Oct 12: A meeting of the Sachal Yadgar Committee was held here on Tuesday discussed arrangements for the 184th Urs of Sufi poet Sachal Sarmast to be held at Daraza Sharif, Khairpur district, from Oct 19 to 16 (Ramazan 14 to 16).

The meeting was presided over by the DCO of Khairpur.

It was decided that Urs celebrations will be inaugurated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, whereas all the programmes of Urs will be held with simplicity due to earthquake.

Munawar Mahesar was nominated as member of the music committee and Qurban Mangi for the Sachal Souvenir committee. The meeting also discussed security arrangements.

The Sachal Award will be given in 10 categories this year.
