DHAKA, Oct 12: A four-member team of the US coastguards is on a 10-day visit to Bangladesh to see security measures at the country’s Key Point Installations (KPIs), including at the principal maritime ports under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code.
The team, comprising three lieutenant commander-level officers and a lieutenant, had arrived here on Monday.
The team, which visited the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Kamlapur on Wednesday, is scheduled to visit some KPIs in Chittagong, including the Chittagong Port, the Chittagong Urea Fertilizer jetty, KAFCO and Eastern Refinery jetty on October 16 and 17.
