Balochistan rocked

QUETTA, Oct 11: An earthquake of moderate intensity Tuesday evening jolted Sorab and its surrounding areas in the Kalat district, some 220 km southeast of here. Jolts were felt for 10 seconds at 8:30pm, forcing people to leave their houses.

“No causality or major damage was reported,” a senior official of the local administration said. According to Met office the intensity of the earthquake was recorded on the international Richter scale at 5.1. The epicentre could be in Kerthar range of the Chaman fault line the most quake prone area of Pakistan.
