LAHORE, Oct 11: To attract cricket fans for the forthcoming home three-Test series against England, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is offering a package of free tickets. “We came out with a new concept of organizing the Test matches to bring back crowds into the stadia to watch longer version of the game in maximum numbers,” PCB director operations Abbas Zaidi told a press conference on Tuesday.
For the first Test to be held at Multan Stadium from Nov 12, 16,606 free tickets would be given and for the second Test at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad the number of free tickets will be 9,356.
For the last Test to be played at the Qadhafi Staium, Lahore, 12,937 free tickets would be distributed 7,519 for students, 4,641 for general enclosure and 777 for senior citizens.
Free tickets would be available one day before the start of Test matches and would be delivered on first come first served basis.
The local administration of Multan had also decided to operate special buses from different spots to bring people to Multan Stadium.
For one-day matches, only special children would have free access.
The rates of tickets had been reduced for the Test matches.
The season ticket (for one Test) would be Rs400 while other rate was Rs200. On daily basis, the rate was Rs100 and Rs50.
For one-dayers the rates are Rs2,000, Rs1200, Rs500, Rs300 and Rs100.
The sale of tickets for the one-day matches through Internet would start from Nov 15.
