KARACHI, Oct 11: Seven ships carrying railway bogies and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships — African Oryx, Muhieddine-1, unload and load general cargo, PONL Buenos Arires, Yang Jiang He, to unload and load containers, Alam Selaras, to unload coal, and Malto Blossom to offload phosphate — were berthed after the departure of five.
The departing ships were led by Itha Bhum, Carolina, Dove Castle, Southern Imperial, and Guang Hua Me, while Capetan Tassos, Yang Jiang He, Fifi Queen and APL Pusan are expected to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 96,834 tons comprising 3,583 tons of export cargo and 93,251 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Shalamar, with crude oil, Kota Tabah, Eastern Sea, Kuo Hung, Hyundai Stride, Sea Beta, with containers, and Le Yi, with 100 railway bogies.
