Security forces kill passerby after blast

By Our Correspondent

MIRAMSHAH (North Waziristan), Oct 10: Security forces killed a passerby and wounded another here on Monday after militants exploded a bomb near Chashma bridge just as their convoy was passing through the area.

Some eight soldiers were injured in the blast.

The convoy was heading from Bannu to Miramshah along with family members of the commandant of Tochi Scouts, Waheed Bangash.

When the convoy reached near Chashma bridge, some five kilometres east of Bannu city, a remote-controlled bomb exploded.

In retaliation, the convoy opened indiscriminate fire and struck two civilians on a motorbike.
