Punjab police donates Rs10m

LAHORE, Oct 10: The Punjab police on Monday donated Rs10 million for the earthquake victims and sent a contingent of 200 men to Azad Kashmir for rescue work. The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Punjab IGP Ziaul Hasan, who said the money would be deposited with the president’s relief fund. He said the money would come from the deduction of two-day salary of all gazetted officers and one-day salary of other officials. — Staff Reporter
