PMA sets up relief camp

LAHORE, Oct 9: The Pakistan Medical Association, Lahore branch, on Sunday set up a relief camp for the earthquake victims at the PMA House on Ferozpur Road.

While arrangements for sending five teams of specialists to the affected areas for providing medical treatment facilities to the people have also been made.

Association secretary-general Dr Azimuddin Zahid said that decisions to set up the relief camp and dispatch teams of doctors to the earthquake affected areas had been taken at an emergent meeting of the association.

Three teams of general and orthopaedic surgeons and anaesthesia specialists were leaving for Mansehra District Hospital while two would be reaching the Prime Minister’s Crisis Management Cell with medicines and equipment worth Rs200,000.
