2 brothers among 7 killed in Bannu

BANNU, Oct 8: Seven people, including two brothers, were gunned down and four others were injured in different parts the Bannu district during the past 24 hours. One Jamshed Khan was killed allegedly over old enmity in the Takhtikhel village. The Howaid police station registered a case against Mirdaraz, Usman, Javed and an unidentified accused.

In another incident, one Gul Khan was shot dead over old enmity in the Khadri Momandkhel area. The Cantt police station registered a case against Shakir Khan, Kher Mohammad and Khairullah and started a probe.

Two men, Umar Niaz and Hashmat Khan, opened fire at each other in the Sarmast Mirakhel area. Umar Niaz died on the spot, while Hashmat Khan expired on way to hospital.

The victims had reportedly exchanged harsh words a day before which led to their tragic end. The Ghoriwala police station have registered a case.

In the limits of Basiakhel police station, a man named Khan was killed over a dispute concerning a woman. The police have registered a case against three accused Amjad Khan, Gul Tiaz and Sardaraz.

Two brothers Noor Jehan Shah and Umar Khan were shot dead while they were offering evening prayers in a mosque in the Kotka Akhundan village.

The Ghoriwala police station registered a case against two accused Khawajaullah and Zakir Khan and started investigation.

SUICIDE: A woman committed suicide in the jurisdiction of Domel police station. The victim was stated to be mentally deranged.
