JACOBABAD, Oct 8: The former Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Illahi Bux Soomro, has said that he is a law-abiding citizen and his rivals are uncivilised who picked up quarrel on the election day.

Talking to reporters here on Friday at his residence, he said that people should unite to fight against tribalism.

He said he was a Muslim Leaguer and would continue to struggle within party ranks.

Mr Soomro said the chief election commissioner had banned entry of MPAs, MNAs and ministers to the polling stations but provincial minister Dr Sohrab Sarki and MNA Aijaz Jakhrani were roaming inside the polling stations.

Sardar Muqeem Khoso, father of defeated candidate Raja Rahim Khoso, Mir Hassan Khoso and MPA Mir Naseer Khoso were present on the occasion.

They rejected the results and alleged rigging at polling stations in Thul.

Sardar Muqeem ruled out joining the PPP and said that the party was losing foothold in the district.
