KARACHI, Oct 8: Six ships carrying palm oil, coal and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Maersk Arizona, Sagamore, Wan Hai-265, Harmony to unload and load containers and Fonthida Naree to unload and load containers and offload steel cargo, were berthed after the departure of as many.

The vessels, which departed included Ever Guide, Harmony, Sagamore, Sina Bontang and Kota Tampan, while Maersk Aizona, Anjum, Wan Hai-265, Dove Castle, Mare Gallicum and Rickmer Chennal are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.107m tons comprising 9,529 tons of export cargo and 97,806 tons of import tonnage, including 7,301 tons of sugar and 9,847 tons of fertilizer was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Golden Oceania, with 5,500 tons of palm, Thor Captain, PONL Buenos Aries, Kota Jasa, with containers, Alam Selares, with 37,030 tons of coal And Guang Hua Men, with general cargo.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Johar, with crude oil, Southern Imperial, with chemicals, Pacific Acadian, with DAP fertilizer, and Kudam, with 65,000 tons of crude oil.
