New Delhi links pullout to peace in Valley


NEW DELHI, Oct 7: India has said that there can be no pullout of troops from Jammu and Kashmir unless violence ends there and a similar disengagement in Siachen Glacier can be undertaken only when delineation on the troop positions is carried out. “I don’t think there can be a pullout unless violence is stopped,” Indian Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee told “The Week” magazine.—Online
