LAHORE, Oct 7: The names of umpires and match referees for the forthcoming home series against England were announced on Friday. England in its tour from Oct 26 to Dec 22 will play three Test and five One-day matches.
On Pakistan’s suggestion, the neutral umpires will supervise the Test matches and One-day internationals.
Simon Taufel and Darrell Hair will supervise two Tests each, while Rudi Koertzen and Billy Bowden will officiate in one Test apiece.
Hair will also supervise two first One-day matches with Brian Jerling.
Koertzen with Tony Hill will supervise last three One-day matches. Roshan Mahanama has been appointed as referee for the Test matches while Jeff Crowe for One-day matches. Following is the detail of the appointments (date, match, umpires, tv umpire, reserve umpire):
Oct 31 to Nov 2: Three-day match at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi; Riazuddin-Z.I Pasha. Nov 6-8: Three-day match at Bagh-i-Jinnah, Lahore; Mian Aslam-Saleem Badar.
Nov 12 to 16: First Test at Multan Cricket Stadium; Simon Taufel, Billy Bowden; Asad Rauf; Siddique Khan.
Nov 20 to 24: Second Test, Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad; Simon Taufel, Darrell Hair; Nadeem Ghouri; Iftikhar Malik.
Nov 29 to Dec 3: Third Test, Qadhafi Stadium, Lahore; Rudi Koertzen-Darrell Hair; Zameer Haider; Rasheed Bhatti.
Dec 7: Warm-up One-day, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore; Nazir Junior-Iftikhar Malik.
