RAHIM YAR KHAN, Oct 7: Four dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and a cell phone worth Rs2.5 million from a jeweller’s shop in Sadar Bazaar here on Friday.

Four men entered the Malik Jewellers at 1:45pm and asked owner Aslam Khizar to show them jewellery. Later, two of them whipped out their pistols and held the owner hostage and demanded keys of the safe.

In the mean time, a neighbour Asif came to the shop and was also held hostage by the bandits.

The dacoits collected gold worth Rs1 million, jewellery worth Rs1.2 million, Rs3 million in cash and a mobile phone and fled.
