NAWABSHAH, Oct 7: The government-backed panels grabbed 12 out of 23 reserved seats of the district council of Nawabshah, according to unofficial results.

On peasant/worker seats, Laung Khan Channa (HPG), Raza Mohammad Chandio (ADP), Khair Mohammad Mahar (ADP), and on women seats, Ms Haseena (HPG), Ms Iffatul Rubab (ADP), Anwar Begum (ADP), Ms Bushra Rao (HPG), Ms Marvi (NAI), Ms Shameem Begum (ADP), Ms Haleema (ADP), Jameela Begum (NAI), Ghulam Sakina Channa (NAI), Zahida Parveen (ADP), Ms Tahira (NAI) and Farzana Qayyum (NAI) were declared successful.

Khemomal alias Mukhi Khemchand (NAI), Chandumal (ADP) and Daultram (ADP) were elected members of the District Council on minorities reserved seats.

For the taluka council of Nawabshah, Abdul Sattar Qureshi (ADP) and Farman Ansar (HPG) secured 81-81 votes led to tie on the reserved seat. Ms Sabira, Ambreen Uzma, Syed Seema Kazmi and Imtiaz Begum were declared successful on women reserved seats and Tasawar Maqbool was declared successful on minorities reserved seat.

In the taluka council of Daur, Ghulam Mustafa on peasant/worker reserved seat, Ms Ghulam Fatima, Ms Bashura, Jannat Khatoon, Mohammadi Begum and Ms Shabana on women reserved seats and Misri Soryo on minorities reserved seat, were declared successful.

In the taluka council of Daulatpur, Mohammad Haroon on peasant/worker reserved seats, Ms Kausar, Ms Haseena, Ms Latifan and Ms Wazirzadi on women reserved seats and Sonu Jogi on minorities reserved seat were declared successful.

In the taluka Council of Sakrand, Tariq Raza on peasant/worker seats, Ms Naimat, Ms Haseena, Ms Khani and Ms Noor Khatoon on women reserved seats and Gobandram on reserved minority seat were declared successful.
