Farmers offered free soil testing

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 6: The director of the Sindh Horticulture Research Institute, Syed Mukhtiar Hussain Jafri, has said that farmers should take benefit of the farm advisory centre by testing their soil and water so that they could get more production of their corps.

He was speaking as chief guest at the field day ceremony held at the exhibition plot of chilli near Digri town by the Fauji Fertilizer Company on Thursday.

About one hundred farmers attended the ceremony.

He said that revolutionary changes would take place in the agriculture sector by providing complete knowledge and facilities to farmers.

The manager of the centre, Mohammad Akram Bajwa, said the FFC had started providing facilities to farmers including soil testing, water and agriculture advices free of cost.
