3 strikes foiled, says Bush


WASHINGTON, Oct 6: The United States has foiled three Al Qaeda strikes on its soil since the Sept 11 attacks in 2001, President George Bush said on Thursday in a major speech.

“The United States and our partners have disrupted at least ten serious Al Qaeda terrorist plots since Sept 11, including three Al Qaeda plots to attack inside the United States,” Mr Bush said in the speech.

“We’ve stopped five more Al Qaeda efforts to case targets in the United States.”—AFP
