KARACHI, Oct 6: Six ships carrying machinery, steel and logs are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Six ships, Kota Tampan, Kota Wajaiya, Y.M.Star, Hyundai Future, to unload and load containers, Dove Castle, to unload steel cargo and Wave to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included APL Jeddah Long An Hai, Rockwaya Belle, Maersk Alaska and Khairpur, while Jet Mark-232, Ghadeer, Blue Star, Corin Thaikos, Y.M.Star, Bow De Jin, APL Orchid and Sinar Bontang are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.111m tons comprising 24,517 tons of export cargo including 1,406 tons of cement and 86,640 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Harmony, Sagamore, Wan Hai-262, with containers, Fonthida Naree, with steel, Med Leric, with machinery and African Oryx, with 2,417 logs.
