KARACHI: Plea dismissed

Karachi, Oct 5: The Sindh High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Sardar Muqeem Khan Khoso against his disqualification from contesting the post of district nazim’s election for Jacobabad.

Petitioner’s nomination papers were rejected by the returning officer on the ground that he was a defaulter of ADBP loan of Rs1,68,71,839. He contended that he should not be disqualified at primary stage and prayed the court to set aside the returning officer’s order and allow him to contest the polls.—PPI
