HYDERABAD, Oct 2: About 4,400 students appeared in pre-entry test of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology on Sunday. Students, including 300 girls, competed for 16 departments of the university at the Public School, Hyderabad, in two shifts.

Total number of seats in different departments of the university is 931.

The test committee was headed by Prof Soomar Khatri and consisted of Prof Mumtaz Memon and Professor Nadir Ali Khoja.

Vice-Chancellor Dr A. Q. K. Rajput expressed satisfaction over arrangements for the test.

He said the result of the test would be announced on October 5 and would be available on university’s website.
