KARACHI, Oct 1: Seven-year old mare, Dushtiyani, starts as our days best when the Summer Gymkhana race meeting takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Dushtiyani is drawn with eleven contenders in the five furlongs first race of the day’s programme which begins at 1.30pm.

A total of seven races, including a Sire Produce Stakes Cup, have been chalked out for the day.

Dushtiyani should be chased home by chestnut, Prosmatic, and nine-year old mare Taneez.

Mir Sab, a two-year old colt, is fancied to lift the Sire Produce Stakes Cup in the second race. He had to be content with second slot behind two-year old filly, Safari Queen, in the last race.

Two-year old colt, Moon Raker, and half-bred Go Piyaray, should settle for a place.

Four-year old filly, Jallali, should clinch honours in the third race which has a field of fifteen runners. Also in contention are half-bred, Chand Aiya, and mare, Tom Cruise.

Ten-year old Dhoom Machade, who clinched honours on Sept 4 with jockey Abdul Aziz in the saddle, is favourite to win the fourth event. Leo Again and Silver Sweet should battle it out for place.

Order Of The day, a seven-year old horse, should pick up the spoils in the fifth race with sixteen horses in fray. He was narrowly placed third in the last meeting.

Fascinate, a three-year old colt, and Harry Potter, a through-bred Pakistani horse, are poised to annex the sixth and seventh races.
