KARACHI, Oct 1: 18 teams will compete in the Aga Khan Gymkhana (AKG) Ramazan Twenty20 cricket tournament which starts at the AKG Ground from first of Ramazan.

According to the playing conditions, the first three overs of the innings and two subsequent spells of one over each will be considered ‘power-play’. However, the ‘super-sub’ shall not apply in this tournament.

The opening match features hosts Aga Khan Gymkhana Blues and Shekhani Sports at 1.00pm. From second day onwards, two matches will be played with the first game starting at 9.30am and the second at 1.00pm.

Following are the pools:

Group ‘A’: Aga Khan Gymkhana Blues, Shekhani Sports, Rangers Gymkhana, Cantt Sports.

Group ‘B’: Aleem Sports, Baqai Dolphins, Mohammad Hussain CC, Malir Gymkhana, M. Tex XI.

Group ‘C’: Aga Khan Gymkhana Greens, A.O. Cricket Club, Defence Gymkhana, Faraz Industries.

Group ‘D’: Asghar Ali Shah CC, Dewan Farooq Motors, Tapal CC, Universal Cable, Omar CC.
