NAWABSHAH: Army personnel laid to rest

NAWABSHAH, Oct 1: Major Mohammad Khan Korai, who was martyred in the North Waziristan operation on Friday, was buried in the Khalifa Shah graveyard in Moro, Naushahro Feroze district, on Saturday.

Thousands of residents of the town and adjoining areas attended the funeral ceremony of Major Korai.

HESCO: Hesco employees observed a pen-down strike in protest against police for failing to arrest attackers of the SDO society on Saturday.

The employees from other sub-divisions of the district also joined the protesters at the Hesco office. They warned that if the attackers were not arrested within 48 hours, they would expand the scope of strike.

ROBBERY: About seven highwaymen looted a Punjab-bound bus near Shahpur Jehanian on the National Highway on Saturday morning. About seven armed men travelling from Karachi stopped the bus near Shahpur Jehanian and looted the passengers at gun point.
