ISLAMABAD, Sept 29: Pakistan and India are engaged in intense negotiations to reach an early agreement on withdrawal of troops from the Siachen glacier – the world’s highest battleground.
This was stated by a Foreign Office spokesman on Thursday while commenting on Indian defence minister’s statement about withdrawal of troops by both the countries from Siachen.
The spokesman said there existed some major differences on the modalities of withdrawal which the two sides were trying to address. —PPI.
