Solar eclipse on Oct 3


KARACHI, Sept 29: An annular eclipse of the sun will be partially visible in Pakistan on Monday.

It would also be visible from the Iberian Peninsula, Europe, western Asia, Middle East, India and most of Africa, the meteorological department said on Thursday.

According to Pakistan time, the eclipse will begin at 12.36pm, its annular phase will start by 1.42pm and the greatest eclipse will be at 3.32pm. The annular phase will end at 5.21pm and the eclipse will terminate by 6.28pm.

The maximum duration of the annular phase will be four minutes and 26 seconds. —APP
