‘Iran pursues peace policy’

ISLAMABAD, Sept 28: Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian has said maintenance of regional peace and security is the main policy of his government.

The ambassador was talking to a group of Iranian journalists currently visiting Pakistan.

He said Iran attached importance to its ties with Pakistan, adding that both countries were able to further their bilateral relations.

Mr Taherian explained that the government of Iranian President Ahmadinejad had also stressed the need to expand relations with its neighbouring countries especially Pakistan.
