KARACHI: LLB results announced

KARACHI, Sept 28: The University of Karachi on Wednesday announced the result of LLB Final Year annual examinations 2005. Syed Zia Mamnoon of the Government Islamia College Karachi bagged first position, while Iqra Salim and Nausheen Riaz, both of S.M. Law College Karachi secured second and third positions respectively.

Some 972 candidates were registered for the exams, 945 appeared, and 691 cleared the exams.

DCS ADMISSIONS: The Department of Computer Science (DCS), University of Karachi, has notified that the admissions to the department for both evening and morning programmes for session 2006 would start from Oct 18.

Forms for PGD and MCS can be obtained from the UBL, Silver Jubilee Counter, from Oct 24, and for BS (CS) and BS (SE) from Oct 25 to 31 during banking hours. Duly filled forms can be submitted within the same dates.

The admission test for the MCS and PGD programmes will be held on Oct 10 and Nov 8 respectively, while admission test for BS (CS) and BS (SE) will be held on Oct 12 at the Department of Computer Science. Classes will be start from Jan 2.—PPI
