ISLAMABAD, Sept 27: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) spent Rs 7.2 million in one year on the development of the game, a top official said on Tuesday.
Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, the president of PFF disclosed this during a seminar on development of women’s football at the Pakistan Sports Complex.
Besides players competing in the inaugural National women’s championship, the seminar was attended by Ms Christina Ramos, member of FIFA/AFC Women’s Football Committee.
Faisal expressed confidence that Pakistani women footballers would soon be competing in international tournaments.
He said that as per instructions from FIFA, 10 percent of the grant received from them would be spent on women’s football.
