Two outlaws shot dead in ‘encounter’


PAKPATTAN, Sept 27: Police claimed to have killed two alleged gangsters during an encounter at Chak 11/KB on Tuesday. Police said an outlaw, Ibrahim Malkana, along with his four accomplices snatched a tractor near the village and fled away.

On a tip off, a patrolling police team chased the gangsters who opened fire on it.

The police retaliated the fire, killing two of the outlaws Muhammad Ahmad alias Ahmi and Imran alias Umri on the spot, while Ibrahim and others managed to escape, they said

District police officer Raja Riffat Mukhtar, talking to newsmen, expressed the hope that the remaining outlaws would be arrested soon.—APP
