Two brothers among three killed over enmity

GUJRANWALA, Sept 27: Three people, including two brothers, were shot dead in an ambush by their rivals over murder enmity on Tuesday at Sooratabad Kot Ladha.

Reports said lumberdar Manzoor Husain, his brother Muhammad Amjad and relative Barkat Ali were on their way to district courts to pursue a murder case. Near Malanpur graveyard, their rival group, led by Ghulam Ali, opened fire killing them on the spot.

The enmity had reportedly claimed seven lives from both groups.

Kot Ladha police have registered a case and are investigating.

JUDICIAL REMAND: The local anti-terrorism court No. 1 on Tuesday sent main accused in Ferozewala firing case, Muhammad Iqbal alias Bala Qatli, to jail on judicial remand.

The court ordered that he should be produced on next hearing on Oct 10. The accused was involved in a firing case over an election row and the police had got his two-week physical remand.
