Over 70 ties decided

PESHAWAR, Sept 26: More than 70 matches were decided in four different categories on the opening day of open trials for the 11th League, launched by Pakistan Air Force Squash Academy to search out new talent, at Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Monday.

About 200 boys turned up for the trails out of whom 117 were short-listed, said Chief Warrant Officer, Fakhar Zaman. The 117 comprised 52 in under-11, 22 in U-13, 19 in U-15 and 24 in U-17.

Four players would come up from League matches in U-11, U-13, U-19 and U-17 who would be imparted further training to enable them to represent the academy in tournaments, Fakhar added.—APP
